My friend Kathryn is in town...

...and she came over to meet Anthony. She brought him the sweetest outfit, and she brought us a bottle of wine, because she heard he doesn't sleep well. LOVE Kathryn!

Anthony got a football for Christmas from his father and me. He really, really likes it.

28 Weeks

He has two teeth now and I think maybe the top ones are going to bust through here soon, he certainly was screaming about something last night. He's in good spirits today, it's Casual Friday, hence the sweats and tshirt.

No Santa Pictures

You will not see any pictures of Anthony with Santa on this blog this year, and maybe ever. I have seen several pictures this month of children screaming on Santa's lap and I for one have no intention of ever doing that to Anthony. He screams enough just in a regular day. I mean really. What is wrong with these people?

He had three shots today...

...but he seems just fine. At his six month checkup, he weighed 19 pounds, 9 oz., was 29" long, and has a head that's 42 centimeters. He did so great with those shots, it's like a different baby.

Kicking it old school

Anthony's kicking it old school in a playpen. Mostly what he does is try to find any remnants of dirt that he can eat. I cleaned the HELL out of it yesterday but he's still hopeful!

Tuesday

He just woke up from a nap. He has teeth coming in but he is working through it like a brave, brave little boy. We're about to go to the store but I wanted to get some pictures up before we go out.

Bananas

My mother gave him bananas this morning. Yesterday she gave him squash, she's had much better luck with it than we have. LORD, what a mess it makes.

Sweet Potatoes

So far, he seems to feel the same way about sweet potatoes as I do, which is to say, blech.

Judy, Judy, Judy

My sister works with this woman named Judy, who looks at Anthony's blog and always mentions to Laura how cute he is. So Judy gave Laura this bear to give to Anthony, and Laura brought it over last week. Anthony LOVES this bear and I LOVE Judy for being so nice and sweet to give it to him! It is super soft. Judy, if you're reading this, I want you to know that I have *totally* written a thank you note, I'm just waiting to see Laura to give it to her. But thanks in advance, it was incredibly nice of you.

26 Weeks

Tomorrow, Anthony will be ONE HALF OF ONE YEAR OLD! To those people who think that this is all going to go really fast, I say this: it honestly feels like 10 years ago that we brought him home from the hospital. And I remember every second of it. So here's to fast moving time and forgetfulness in the next 26 weeks.
