What?
Not everyone's children kiss the refrigarator door? He has really been getting into the fridge lately. We are off to Physical Therapy today, he had Occupational yesterday. He is doing well, I think. He still doesn't talk much and maybe I am stupid but I am still hopeful. Yesterday at OT, he said MORE, PLEASE to the OT. "Clear as a bell!" she said. I know it's all in there. I think about that video that I made of him where he said "e i e i ... ho?" and I think that's in there too. We just have to figure out how to get it out of him. Someday!

Isn't he cute?
We cut his hair today. Good GOD it was hard. At first we thought I could hold him on my lap but if we did that, he could bash his head into my face so we had to put him in the high chair. It only took about five minutes but it feels really a lot a lot longer than that. A lot. :)

For some reason
he likes to take the milk out of the refrigarator and say "milk!" For a while we thought maybe he was back on milk, but no, he just likes to take the milk out, put it on the island, and say "milk!". Whatever. At least he's saying something!
Eating Grapes, Friday Morning
This child. He was up at 3:30 when I went to feed the OTHER one in this house that can't sleep. Then I heard him again when I went back to hear at 6:30. She was crying since 6:00 so I don't know if it woke him up or what. I hope so, I hate to think that he's been up since 3:30. He seems fine. We leave his shirt off in the morning until right before he leaves, it gives him kind of a playboy look right? I should get him an ascot.
I'm glad today is Friday, he's had a long week already. He had school every day and OT on Tuesday at the new place and PT at the new place on Wednesday. It's a lot. We're not going to do much this weekend, I've been sick and so far neither of them have gotten it and I am hoping to keep it that way! I wash my hands so much it's ridiculous. Anyway, happy friday!

Sigh
Sometimes at school they ask us what we do when Anthony waves his fingers in front of his face like that. I'm tempted to answer, very solemnly, "we bend them back until he screams". I mean, what do you do? We push his fingers away and try and get him to do something else. It's not like he's pooping on the dining room table or something. Clearly, he's fulfilling some kind of need that he has by waving his fingers like that. Today the assistant in his classroom told me she was worried that his eyes would cross. I said "or maybe Jack Frost will come and his fingers will freeze that way!". I mean really.

Fish?
He was *insane* when he woke up this morning. I should say when he was let out of his room. He was awake and noisy at 4:15 when I went to feed Maria and Mike heard him at 6:10. I hope and pray he went back to sleep between those times, but it's more likely that we just didn't hear him. I don't know what to do - we can't keep him up any later than we do because he is *exhausted* by 7:00 but waking up at 4:00 for the day is ridiculous, unless he wants to work on some farm that we don't know about. :)

First Fingerpainting
I am taking pictures of all his crap - I mean art work from school so I can throw it away and not feel bad.
Cereal
Today is Tuesday and even though Anthony woke up so, so roughly this morning, we are having a better week than last. He is going to start having OT next week at his new place, he is having a Physical Therapy evaluation tomorrow at the new place, and he had OT today at school. His OT at school went on maternity leave and we found out that there was no replacement in line so I had to send strongly worded emails to the school but it's all straightened out now.

Oh, Anthony
This is yesterday after his hissy fit that lasted, it seemed, forever. Yesterday when I took the pictures I was so mad and thought he looked so mean but this morning, posting them, he looks so sad and upset. He recovered and we moved on yesterday - he was super tired, he had woken up at 4:30 and didn't go back to sleep. He went to sleep last night around 7:00 and was up *again* when I went to feed Maria at 4:30. He was kicking the living hell out of the wall next to his bed, so I went in and pulled the bed away from the wall, covered him up with his blanket, and left and shortly after he was quiet.
We are going on Monday for yet another evaluation at a pediatric therapy place and I am HOPING that we can get him involved in some weekly therapy to add to what he gets in school. It was like this when he started in First Steps, too -he gets very stirred up and, I think, doesn't know what to do with it. His speech therapist emailed me yesterday and told me she 'adored' him, so that's nice. At least someone does! Ha! Kidding!
