Bug
This week I've been working with Anthony on opening his clenched fists and grabbing rattles, etc. Last night I had him working with this bug while he was in his bouncy seat. Note the frown - he really *prefers* to keep his hands in fists, thanks very much!

Getting ready for a nap
Here's Anthony, listening to Macy Gray and getting ready to sleep in the swing. We walked with Mike to work this morning and he fell asleep on the way home, then slept some more, was up for a bit, and is out again. In the picture, I was trying to get the back of his head, the hair there is adorable.

Tuesday
Well for those of you out there who told me that it would hurt me more than it would hurt him when he got his shots, you're all a bunch of liars! Same goes for the doctor, who told me that Anthony would probably cry in the office, then be "fussy" for the rest of the day. That poor baby wailed the whole way home and the rest of the day, when he wasn't fitfully sleeping, he was crying. Mike came home and held him and around 6, he gave him a bottle and he was like a different baby after that. A *better, happier* baby. He slept well and is fine today, but I can't believe we're supposed to go back and do that again in two months. Unbelievable.

Nine Weeks
This picture was taken while Anthony was in his bouncy seat on the kitchen table, while his father was playing with him. He's happy and so are we because Anthony slept through the night last night for the first time. EIGHT hours. We were all really freaked out and shocked this morning. I still can't believe it, I keep thinking I'm going to wake up and it's going to be midnight last night and he's going to want to eat. EIGHT hours!

Two Months
Anthony is two months old today. His Grandmother Rose stayed with him today while I went car shopping with his Grandfather. He was pretty good for her. I took this picture of him when he was in his bouncy seat on the island while we had dinner. He smiles more and more lately, and coos and laughs a lot!

Tuesday
Anthony is sleeping now, but he is sleeping less than yesterday, when he was apparently going for some kind of record. Today he slept from 8-10, then I woke him up to eat and go to Target. He slept pretty much the whole time we were there, then was up from like 12:30-2:30, so that's pretty good. Maybe he'll sleep tonight for more than three hours! Here's to hoping. Here he is in his bouncy seat, where he sat and watched me vacuum the kitchen today, while we listened to the Charlie's Angels soundtrack. He digs Sir Mix a Lot!

Correction
I totally jinxed us the other day, saying he slept well. Friday night he slept like five minutes. But he is getting back on track. I am posting a picture of him on my Aunt Joan's table, the other picture is of him on his Boppy here at the house. Anyways, today is Monday, he's asleep in the swing. A week from today we go to the doctor for his two month checkup and he gets his shots, which I am SO not looking forward to.

Eight Weeks!
Today Anthony is eight weeks old. We are celebrating by taking a nap in the swing, listening to the Evita soundtrack. He is sleeping better, although I am reluctant to say anything about it for fear of jinxing us. He slept from around 7:30 to 5:45, and was up twice, at 10:15 and 2:15, so not too bad. Mike is coming home at lunch today and we're going to try to go to noon Mass, as long as he's awake.

Back from NJ
Well, he's 7 1/2 weeks old and he's travelled over 1400 miles in five days! Go Anthony! He was really good on the trip, he slept a lot in the car. He also met a lot of his family, and attended his first big party. I took a picture of him in the motel, in PA, and also one of him on my Aunt Joan's kitchen table, where if he could, he'd live.
